Sant Lluís is a small, well-preserved municipality in the southeastern corner of Menorca, founded in the eighteenth century during the period of French occupation, which left a distinct architectural imprint on its whitewashed streets and central church square. The town sits within one of the quietest and most unspoiled parts of the island, where low-density development, agricultural land, and direct coastal access define the character of the surrounding countryside. It is consistently associated with understated, high-quality residential living.

The town centre has a weekly market, several well-regarded restaurants including Es Molí de Foc, and a handful of local shops sufficient for daily needs. Mahón, the island capital, is approximately eight kilometres to the north, a drive of around twelve minutes.
