Sant Lluís is a small, well-preserved municipality in the southeastern corner of Menorca, founded by French forces during their brief occupation of the island in the eighteenth century. Its grid-plan village centre, whitewashed architecture, and windmill landmark give it a distinct character within the island. The surrounding countryside is dotted with traditional farmhouses and low stone walls, and the coastline to the south and east includes some of Menorca’s most sheltered and clear-water coves.

The village itself has a weekly market, several restaurants including Es Molí de Foc, and a good selection of local shops. Cap d’en Font, Binibèquer Vell, and Punta Prima are all within a short drive. Mahón, the island capital, is approximately eight kilometres to the north, reachable in under fifteen minutes by car.

Menorca Airport is located roughly ten kilometres from Sant Lluís, a drive of around fifteen minutes, making it one of the most conveniently positioned municipalities on the island for international access. The airport operates direct flights to major European cities including London, Barcelona, Madrid, and Frankfurt, with frequency increasing substantially during the summer season. Ferry connections from Mahón port link Menorca to Barcelona and Valencia for those preferring sea travel.
