Sant Miquel de Balansat sits in the northern interior of Ibiza, within the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja, one of the least developed and most protected corners of the island. The area is defined by pine-covered hills, agricultural land, and a pace of life that contrasts sharply with the busier southern and western coasts. The nearby cove of Port de Sant Miquel provides direct access to one of Ibiza’s most sheltered and scenic inlets, framed by limestone cliffs.

Port de Sant Miquel beach is a few minutes by car, as is the Cova de Can Marcà, a sea cave open to visitors. The village of Sant Miquel has a whitewashed church that anchors a small cluster of local bars and restaurants. Sant Joan de Labritja, the municipal capital, offers a weekly market and additional dining options. Santa Eulària des Riu is reachable in under 30 minutes.

Ibiza Town is approximately 25 kilometres south, a drive of around 30 to 35 minutes via the C-733. Ibiza Airport, which operates direct routes to major European cities including London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt, is roughly 35 to 40 minutes by car. There is no rail connection on the island, so private or hired transport is the standard means of getting around. Ferry services from Ibiza Town connect to Barcelona, Valencia, and Palma de Mallorca.
