Surnommé « la vieille école » par les habitants, l’un des bâtiments les plus importants de Sânpetru a accueilli l’école évangélique saxonne pendant plus d’un siècle. L’établissement, désormais privé, fait actuellement l’objet d’un processus de rénovation afin d’accueillir prochainement une nouvelle fonction : hôtel et centre d’événements.
Les deux bâtiments sont construits en forme de L sur les bords d’un terrain de 2500 m² qui offre de nombreuses possibilités d’utilisation. L’emplacement est très chanceux, dans le quartier historique de Sânpetru, à proximité de l’église fortifiée évangélique construite en 1794 sur les fondations d’une église du XIIIe siècle. L’accès à et depuis Brașov est facile et la vue sur la colline de Lempeș à proximité garantit une vue relaxante.
Le bâtiment principal donnant sur la rue, construit dans la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle, est l’ancienne école et revêt une valeur historique importante. Sa façade principale, récemment rénovée, présente des éléments néoclassiques. Les proportions équilibrées et la composition symétrique l’embellissent, les deux entrées se reflétant. La surface totale construite est de 1058 m² et les quatre niveaux sont le sous-sol, le rez-de-chaussée, le premier étage et le grenier. Le projet de conversion implique la création d’une cave, de salles à manger et de chambres spacieuses avec salles de bains privatives et dressings.
Le bâtiment secondaire, entièrement rénové avec des finitions haut de gamme, est entièrement meublé et utilisé. Il y a 408 m² construits sur deux niveaux. Au rez-de-chaussée, nous avons la cuisine et une grande salle d’événements. Au premier étage, nous avons deux appartements prêts à l’emploi.
Avec un terrain généreux et deux bâtiments rénovés, situés à proximité immédiate de Brașov, mais offrant l’air frais qui descend de Lempeș au crépuscule et le panorama pittoresque de TARA Bârsei, l’ancienne école saxonne de Sânpetru pourrait bientôt devenir l’un des sites touristiques de la région.

The two buildings are built in L shape on the edges of a 2500 sqm land that offers plenty of usage options. The location is very fortunate, in the historical area of Sânpetru, in the vicinity of the Evangelical Fortified Church built in 1794 on the foundation of a 13th-century church. The access to and from Brașov is facil and the view towards Lempeș Hill nearby ensures a relaxing sight.
The main building facing the street, built in the second half of the 19th century, is the former school and bears an important historic value. Its main façade, recently renovated, contains neoclassic elements. The balanced proportions and symmetrical composition embellish it, with the two entrances mirroring each other. The total built surface is 1058 sqm and the four levels are basement, ground floor, first floor and attic. The conversion project implies creating a winery, dining areas and generous rooms with en-suite bathrooms and dressings.
The secondary building fully renovated with premium finishings, and is fully furnished and utilated. There are 408 sqm built on two levels. At the groundfloor we have the kitchen and an big events hall. At the first floor we have two apartments that are ready to use. .
With a generous land and two renovated buildings, in the immediate vicinity of Brașov but offering the fresh air that climbs down from Lempeș at twilight and the picturesque panorama of Țara Bârsei, the former Saxon School in Sânpetru can shortly become one of the touristic landmarks of the area.
