Double Vue Sur La Mer

Sainte-Maxime occupies a privileged position on the northern shore of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, facing its more famous neighbor across the water. The town has long attracted a discerning residential clientele who value the same quality of light and coastline as Saint-Tropez but prefer a setting that remains genuinely livable year-round. Its seafront promenade, pine-covered hillsides, and well-maintained marina give the town a coherent, unhurried character that distinguishes it from the more congested resorts along the Var coast.

The town center offers a covered market on Place du Marché, a working fishing port, and a concentration of restaurants along the waterfront including La Maison Bleue and Le Dauphin. The Plage de la Nartelle and Plage des Éléphants are within easy reach by car. The Sainte-Maxime golf course, an 18-hole layout, sits directly above the town.

Sainte-Maxime is served by the D25 and N98 coastal roads connecting to Saint-Raphaël in approximately 30 minutes, where TGV services reach Paris Gare de Lyon in around three hours and fifteen minutes. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is roughly 90 kilometers away, typically one hour and fifteen minutes by car outside peak summer traffic. A seasonal ferry service crosses the gulf to Saint-Tropez in approximately 15 minutes.
