Maison, Quimper

Here, architecture becomes a way of life — 162 m² of exceptional space in the heart of Quimper

Behind a stone facade nestled in a historic, steep street of old Quimper lies a masterpiece. Redesigned in 2021 by Carré Architecte for a couple of collectors, this townhouse offers a true architectural journey—from the lower-level garage to the zinc and glass attic crowning the building.

A 46 m² wooden extension houses a light-filled bedroom and a spectacular bathroom (central island, large mirror, expansive window), extended by a mezzanine office with transparent railings.

On the older side, everything has been enhanced: double height with original timber framing, a sequence of kitchen-dining-living rooms, custom furniture designed by the architect, and a spiral staircase railing reminiscent of an arum lily—the signature of the place.

Key features:
- 162 m² of signature architecture
- Terrace in the heart of the block
- Independent studio / guest accommodation
- Large garage on the lower level

A rare property in one of Quimper’s most sought-after neighborhoods. A favorite for those who never wanted a house like any other.
