Villa Palma De Majorque

El Terreno is one of Palma’s oldest residential neighborhoods, occupying the hillside west of the city center between the waterfront Paseo Marítimo and the pine-covered grounds of Bellver Castle. Once a favored address for Palma’s bourgeoisie and later a hub for artists and intellectuals in the mid-twentieth century, the area retains a layered, unhurried character. Its streets are lined with substantial early-twentieth-century villas and apartment buildings, and the proximity to the castle grounds gives the upper reaches of the neighborhood a genuinely secluded quality.

The Paseo Marítimo, with its concentration of restaurants and the Auditorium concert hall, is a ten-minute walk downhill. The marina and the old town’s Lonja district are reachable in under fifteen minutes on foot. The Mercado de Santa Catalina, Palma’s most active food market, is roughly a ten-minute drive east.

Palma city center is approximately two kilometers from El Terreno, reachable by car in under ten minutes or by bus along the Paseo Marítimo. Palma de Mallorca Airport is around twelve kilometers southeast of the neighborhood, a drive of roughly fifteen to twenty minutes depending on traffic. The airport operates direct routes to most major European cities, with flight times of two hours or less to London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Barcelona.
