Casa Fe Maria is an architectural pavilion designed as a habitable sculpture, positioned along the principal axis of Oaxaca’s historic Panteón General. More than a residence, it is a spatial composition of timber, concrete, light, and silence a place built to be experienced slowly.

From the exterior, the structure presents itself as a quiet, monolithic volume. Inside, it opens into a warm, refined interior crafted entirely from laminated white poplar wood imported from Canada, elevated on a concrete platform. A gentle ramp leads to the entrance, guiding a seamless transition from public to private realm.
The property is conceived as an object within its own walled landscape: one may circulate around it, through it, or remain still while the surrounding perimeter walls, finished in oxidized lime, frame a contemplative atmosphere. There is no rear façade; the entire site is architecture. Folding lattice windows and sliding timber panels allow the interior to modulate natural light and ventilation, creating different tonalities of shade and luminosity throughout the day.

A 17-meter blackened concrete lap pool runs parallel to the pavilion, reflecting timber, sky, and surrounding textures merging water and structure into a single spatial experience.
The interior program consists of an open living and dining pavilion with integrated kitchen, one bedroom with private bath, a study, and a guest bathroom. Outdoor covered terraces extend the space further. A separate service volume, with direct access to the street, ensures functionality while preserving the purity of the main architectural form.
