Miami Tropic Residences, a 49 story tower rising in the Design District, is the first residential project to carry Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s name. The restaurateur, who operates roughly 60 restaurants worldwide, is designing the building’s food program himself, from a ground floor cafe to a rooftop dining room.

Residence 3301 sits on the 33rd floor within a line that repeats from the 31st floor through the 47th, one of the building’s larger four bedroom plans. It carries four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms across 2,892 square feet of interior space, wrapped by a terrace measuring more than 130 feet in length and totaling 1,181 square feet. That wraparound design gives the residence five distinct views: the Design District, the downtown Miami skyline, Wynwood, the broader cityscape, and, less expected for a building set back from the coast, a clear look at the Atlantic.

Architecture is by Arquitectonica and interiors by Yabu Pushelberg, the design firm known for hotel work with Four Seasons and Park Hyatt. Kitchens throughout the building take their cues from Jean-Georges himself.

Residents have access to a private elevator landing at 3301, along with the building’s Level 7 fitness and spa floor, which includes an indoor and outdoor gym, a squash court, plunge pools and a juice bar, and a Level 8 pool deck with a resort style pool, cabanas and Jean-Georges’s in-house restaurant. A rooftop skydeck on Level 49 adds a lap pool, courtyards, a bar and private dining. Completion is expected in 2029.
