Résidence Au Bord De L'eau 2001 à Ocean Terrace, Miami Beach

Nine floors of Ocean Terrace, from the twelfth through the twentieth, share a similar floor plan: four bedrooms plus a den, four and a half bathrooms, and a great room that runs nearly 58 feet from end to end. Residence 2001 occupies the top of that stack, the last of the line before the tower’s massing steps back for its two story penthouses above.

This residence measures 3,728 square feet inside, with a 995 square foot terrace, for 4,723 square feet in total. Floor to ceiling windows wrap the great room and primary suite, facing the park, the dunes and the Atlantic beyond, a view that only improves the higher this particular floor plan repeats.

Interiors throughout the building were designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects, the New York firm behind numerous towers on Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue, working here directly on the water for the first time. RAMSA partner Paul Whalen has described the look as blending ”Art Deco and Miami Modern.” Kitchens carry custom white oak cabinetry and a honed white marble island, and primary bathrooms are finished in vein cut natural stone with vintage brass fittings.

Residents will also have access to roughly 18,000 square feet of indoor amenities and 50,000 square feet outdoors, including a 75 foot sunrise pool, a separate sunset pool with a cold plunge and hot tub, an oceanfront fitness center, and a private, members only club with its own restaurant. Revuelta Architecture International designed the 20 story building, and a 5 acre park by Raymond Jungles, with a sculpture by French artist Prune Nourry, separates the property from the avenue behind it. Construction is expected to finish in 2029.
