Marbella Centro is the historic core of one of the Costa del Sol’s most internationally recognised addresses. The old town, centred on the Plaza de los Naranjos, retains its Andalusian character through whitewashed facades, narrow cobbled lanes, and a sequence of small squares shaded by orange trees. This is the part of Marbella that predates the resort era, and its scale and texture remain largely intact, giving it a density of character that the surrounding urbanisations cannot replicate.

Daily life in Marbella Centro revolves around the Casco Antiguo and the Alameda principal gardens. The covered Mercado Municipal on Calle Camilo José Cela supplies fresh produce. Restaurants including Messina and Skina hold serious culinary reputations. The beach promenade and Playa de la Fontanilla are a short walk south.

Marbella is served by the AP-7 and A-7 coastal highways, connecting to Málaga in approximately 55 minutes by car. Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, the main international gateway for the region, is roughly 60 kilometres east and handles direct routes to most major European cities. A bus service runs regularly between Marbella and Málaga city centre. The proposed rail extension to Marbella remains under long-term planning consideration.
