Tanglewood Plantation is an exceptional nearly 2,000-acre property located approximately 7 miles from downtown Manning and just 20 minutes from Lake Marion. Offering an impressive combination of timber, recreational opportunities, agricultural potential, wildlife habitat, and a 5-bedroom residence, this property presents a rare opportunity to own a large, diverse tract in Clarendon County. The property features more than 1,300 acres of pine forest, providing a significant timber asset with income potential while also creating excellent habitat for deer, turkey, and quail. Approximately 350+ acres consist of wetlands and hardwood bottomland along the Pocotaligo River and its smaller tributaries, offering flooded timber for wintering waterfowl, mature hardwoods, and natural wildlife corridors throughout the property. Approximately 150 acres of open cropland are currently unsown, providing flexibility for the next owner. The open acreage could be utilized for food plots, dove fields, farming, or potentially upland duck impoundments, depending on the owner’s plans and applicable approvals. Tanglewood also includes approximately 150 acres of mature longleaf pine. The open understory beneath these trees creates excellent wildlife habitat, particularly for quail, while providing a beautiful park-like setting within the plantation. A network of interior roads and firebreaks provides access throughout the property for hunting, farming, timber management, recreation, and everyday maintenance. With the property’s diverse mix of pine forest, hardwood bottomland, wetlands, open fields, and longleaf pine, there are numerous opportunities for recreational and land-management uses. At the center of the property is a 5-bedroom home with over 4,000 heated square feet, along with several nearby outbuildings. The residence could serve as a full-time home, private hunting lodge, or family retreat. Whether your interest is timber investment, agriculture, hunting, recreation, wildlife management, or simply owning a large tract of land with long-term potential, Tanglewood Plantation offers a combination of size, location, diversity, and opportunity that is difficult to find. Tanglewood Plantation is a rare large-acreage offering in Clarendon County and an opportunity to create something truly special for generations to come.
