Chullera is a quiet coastal enclave within the municipality of Manilva, positioned on the western edge of the Costa del Sol where the coastline begins its approach toward the Strait of Gibraltar. The area sits between Estepona to the northeast and Sotogrande to the southwest, occupying a stretch of Mediterranean shoreline that remains noticeably less developed than its better-known neighbours. The landscape is defined by open sea views, low-density residential development, and a sense of distance from the congestion that characterises much of the coast.

Estepona, approximately 15 kilometres northeast, offers the nearest concentration of restaurants, markets, and services, including the Mercado de Abastos and a well-maintained old town. Sotogrande, around 10 kilometres southwest, provides access to the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, the marina, and polo facilities at Santa Maria Polo Club. Malaga Airport is approximately 90 kilometres away, reachable in around one hour via the AP-7 motorway. Gibraltar Airport is closer, roughly 30 kilometres southwest, with direct connections to London and other European cities. Jerez de la Frontera Airport lies around 100 kilometres to the west. The AP-7 and A-7 coastal roads provide direct access to Marbella, Estepona, and Algeciras, making the broader region straightforwardly navigable by car.
