The Carretera de Cádiz corridor, running west from Málaga city centre along the coast, has emerged as the city’s most actively developing seafront address. Known informally as the New Golden Mile, this stretch combines direct beach access with proximity to the established urban fabric of Málaga. The area sits between the historic centre to the east and the mature resort infrastructure of the Costa del Sol to the west, giving it a character that is urban in connectivity but coastal in orientation.

The Carretera de Cádiz area is within a short drive of Málaga’s Soho district, the Mercado de Atarazanas, and the port’s Muelle Uno dining and retail zone. The beach runs directly alongside the road. Golf courses at Parador de Málaga and Guadalhorce are within ten minutes by car.

Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is approximately five kilometres from this corridor, reachable in under ten minutes by car or via the Cercanías C1 commuter rail line, which stops at the airport and connects to Málaga Centro-Alameda station in around twelve minutes. The AVE high-speed rail service from Málaga María Zambrano station reaches Madrid in under two and a half hours and connects to the broader Spanish high-speed network.
