Just 30 minutes from Gothenburg lies this private paradise, set on an expansive 345,600 sq m natural property encompassing both woodland and water. The estate features a charming log cabin dating from 1936 with 3–4 bedrooms, a substantial sauna building situated out on the water, a garage/storage building and three highly practical guest houses. The main cabin currently accommodates eight guests, with a further eight sleeping places across the three guest houses.

Here, you can enjoy complete privacy with no close neighbours. A long jetty extends into the lake, offering excellent opportunities for swimming. Several rowing boats are included. For fishing enthusiasts, the lake is home to species including perch, pike, roach and vendace, with excellent crayfishing opportunities as well. Those interested in hunting will find roe deer, hare, wild boar and various game birds in the surrounding area.

The property has been in the family’s ownership since the 1970s and has been extensively enjoyed throughout all seasons over the years. Winter offers peaceful relaxation with wood-burning stoves, sauna sessions, ice fishing, skiing and skating. During summer and autumn, there are excellent opportunities to find an abundance of blueberries, lingonberries and wild mushrooms.

Lake Stora Sturven covers 104 hectares and has a maximum depth of approximately 47 metres. The lake was previously considered one of western Sweden’s clearest lakes, with visibility exceeding 30 metres, but has since been limed to support the lake’s ecosystem. Only electric motors are permitted on the lake.
