The clean sweep and soaring vista of the newly plastered façade show no sign of the decay and neglect this magnificent house once suffered. Abandoned in the 1970s, this gracious villa was recently carefully rebuilt, a ruin transformed into a spacious airy living space to be enjoyed and savored as a calm retreat.
The restoration was documented by UNESCO, the actual building work performed by many talented local artisans and overseen by architect Marcus Antman.

While the original footprint of the building is lost, its earliest appearance on a map dated 1822, the present building offers three large bedrooms, each one a suite, three reception rooms, a gourmet catering equipped kitchen, and a completely private, fully enclosed courtyard complete with a swimming pool. An outdoor barbeque and dining area is adjoining the courtyard, as well as a second sun patio, also fully enclosed, reached by a staircase just outside the master suite.
