Fayence is a medieval hilltop village in the Var department of Provence, sitting at around 350 metres above the Pays de Fayence plain. Its old town, with narrow stone lanes, a Romanesque church, and views stretching toward the Esterel massif and the pre-Alps, has long attracted a discerning international community alongside its permanent Provençal population. The surrounding canton encompasses several equally characterful villages, including Seillans, Tourrettes, and Callian, forming one of the most sought-after rural addresses in inland Provence.

Daily life centres on the weekly market in Fayence village, the restaurants along Rue du Château, and the artisan producers of the wider canton. The Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort in Tourrettes, with two championship courses, is the dominant leisure anchor. Callian and Seillans offer additional dining and gallery options within a short drive.

Cannes and Saint-Raphaël are each reachable in approximately 35 minutes by car via the A8 autoroute. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, the second busiest in France with direct routes across Europe and beyond, is around 50 minutes by road. There is no direct rail connection to Fayence itself; the nearest TGV-served stations are at Les Arcs-Draguignan, roughly 40 minutes west, and Cannes, to the southeast.
