Over time, the building underwent changes: in the 16th century, there was probably a monastery with a church and a refectory, and already in the middle of the 18th century, the building was transformed into an elegant four-story country villa, decorated with a magnificent three-arched colonnade overlooking the courtyard, paved with stone in the shape of a herringbone. The date 1759 and a ceramic image of the Virgin Mary with the baby have been preserved above the gate to the courtyard.
The interiors of the villa bear traces of a thousand years of history: vaulted ceilings, some with charming brickwork, others with natural wood beams in a traditional rustic style. The floors are entirely laid with hand-made terracotta tiles. In some rooms, ancient paintings, altars and niches have been preserved.
Following a careful and respectful restoration, the interior of the villa features eight apartments with 16 bedrooms, as well as a loggia, a spacious study/studio and utility rooms on the ground floor. In the basement, the former monastery refectory has been transformed into a magnificent banqueting hall with three brick arches and a fireplace - the perfect space for a tavern with a full kitchen, access to the garden and a bathroom.
