Terrain Urbain De Casares

Casares is a white hilltop village in the western reaches of the Costa del Sol, set within the municipality of Málaga province at an elevation that gives it commanding views across the surrounding sierras and, on clear days, toward the Strait of Gibraltar and the Moroccan coastline. Its compact historic core, with narrow cobbled lanes and whitewashed facades, is one of the best-preserved examples of Andalusian village architecture in the region, drawing comparisons with Ronda and Frigiliana.

The village has a small selection of traditional tapas bars and restaurants along Calle Carrera and the central plaza. Estepona, roughly 20 kilometres away, provides supermarkets, medical facilities, and a marina. The beaches of Casares Costa and Sabinillas are approximately 15 minutes by car.

Estepona is the nearest significant town, around 20 to 25 minutes by car via the A-377. Marbella is approximately 45 minutes east along the AP-7 toll road. Malaga Airport, the main international hub for the Costa del Sol, is roughly 90 kilometres away, translating to a drive of around one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes depending on traffic. Gibraltar Airport is approximately 50 kilometres to the southwest, offering an alternative for European connections.
