Cannes occupies a singular position on the French Riviera, a city whose international reputation is built on more than its famous film festival. The Croisette, the palm-lined boulevard that curves along the Bay of Cannes, defines the city’s public face, while the hillside quarter of La Californie, rising above the bay, represents its most coveted residential address. From these elevated streets, the views extend across the Lérins Islands and toward the red peaks of the Estérel massif.

Daily life in Cannes centres on the Marché Forville, the covered market open every morning except Monday, and the boutiques of Rue d’Antibes.
