Palma de Mallorca and its international airport are approximately 15 kilometres to the east, typically a 15 to 20 minute drive via the Ma-1 motorway. The airport operates direct routes to most major European cities year-round, with frequency increasing significantly from April through October. Palma city centre, with its cathedral, old town, and cultural institutions, is the same journey time. There is no rail connection in this part of the island; a car is essential for residents.
