The entrance of the building is embellished with a pointed arch portal, decorated with a finely worked sandstone arch ring, giving the palace a unique appearance.
Inside, there is a large courtyard and a small cloister, reminiscent of the ancient conventual structure.

Important structural interventions are underway for seismic improvement, adaptation of the load-bearing walls, consolidation of existing floors, creation of new wooden floors and roofing, as well as energy requalification interventions (class A/B).
Soundproofing, chemical barriers, and treatments against humidity, external and internal bio-lime-based plasters, Venetian-style portico flooring, internal courtyard paving in terracotta strips, and marble flooring in the atrium, staircase, and landings are also planned.
The fixtures will be made of wood with high insulating power.

Located within the historic center of Bologna, a short distance from the Basilica of San Domenico and just steps from the pedestrian area of Via D’Azeglio, Casa Martelli offers a unique opportunity to live and work in a property rich in history, convenient to all services. The building dates back to the 15th century and is listed among the properties protected by the FAI. Originally an ancient convent, it was transformed into a private residence by the Arcadian poet and playwright Pier Jacopo Martelli (or Martello) between the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Here, the illustrious humanist lived with his family and hosted important writers and artists, including the renowned painter Carlo Cignani (Bologna, 1628 – 1719), as noted by the plaque affixed under the portico of the building.
