LOCATION - CENTRAL MORNA VALLEY
This old finca is very remote and can be accessed via a 10 min camino drive off of the old San Juan to San Carlos Road
Airport - 45 mins, Ibiza Town - 40 mins, Santa Gertrudis - 30 mins, Santa Eulalia - 30 mins
The heart of the island is spread across and between four of its towns, running from San Rafael in the southern part, through Santa Gertrudis and San Lorenzo, and up to San Miguel and San Carlos further to the north. Virtually all of the closest beaches are less than half an hour’s drive away.
Of the four towns, Santa Gertrudis is perhaps the most amenable to tourists and locals alike (as well as being the largest), growing hugely in popularity over the last few years or so with Northern Europeans moving to Ibiza for the sun and relaxed island life, but also wanting to stay a little bit apart from the slightly more hedonistic south. Centered around a beautiful square surrounded by bars, restaurants, auction houses, and sports facilities, and just two minutes from the rapidly growing UK private school Morna International College, Santa Gertrudis provides a busy yet relaxed and positive vibe 365 days a year.
Cala Llonga sits on the eastern coast of Ibiza within the municipality of Santa Eularia des Riu, one of the island’s most consistently residential and least commercialised areas. The cove itself is sheltered and family-oriented, with a reputation for calm waters and a quieter pace than the island’s southern resorts. The surrounding landscape is characterised by pine-covered hillsides descending to the sea, and the area draws a predominantly European owner-occupier demographic rather than a transient tourist crowd.
Santa Eularia town, approximately eight kilometres north, offers a weekly market, the Mercat Vell covered market, and a solid restaurant strip along the paseo maritimo. The beaches of Cala Martina and Es Canar are within a short drive. San Carlos, with its Las Dalias market, is roughly fifteen minutes inland.
Ibiza Airport is approximately twenty-five kilometres from Cala Llonga, a drive of around thirty minutes via the C-733. Ibiza Town is reachable in roughly twenty minutes by car. The island has no rail network, so private transport or taxis are the practical options for daily movement. The airport operates year-round international routes, with significantly expanded frequency from April through October connecting to major European cities.
