Alcudia occupies the northern tip of Mallorca, where a narrow isthmus separates the Bay of Pollença from the Bay of Alcudia. The medieval walled town at its core, with intact 14th-century fortifications enclosing a grid of stone lanes and historic churches, gives the municipality a depth of character rare on the island. The surrounding landscape shifts between pine-covered headlands, wetland reserves, and some of the longest sandy beaches in the Balearics.

Daily life centres on the old town market, held Tuesdays and Sundays on Plaça Carles V, and the restaurant strip along Carrer dels Albellons. The Albufera Natural Park, a protected wetland reserve, borders the municipality to the south. Port d’Alcudia, a short drive away, provides marina facilities, waterfront dining, and ferry connections.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres to the southwest, reachable in under an hour by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times of two to three hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. A ferry service from Port d’Alcudia connects to Ciutadella in Menorca in roughly one hour by fast catamaran, making inter-island travel straightforward.
