Alcudia occupies the northern tip of Mallorca, where a narrow isthmus separates the Bay of Pollença from the Bay of Alcudia. The medieval walled town at its core, with intact 14th-century fortifications and a grid of stone lanes, gives the municipality a historical weight rare on the island. The surrounding landscape shifts between pine-covered headlands, wetland reserves, and some of the longest sandy beaches in the Balearics, making it one of the most geographically varied addresses in Mallorca.

Daily life centres on the old town market, held Tuesdays and Sundays on Plaça Carles V. Restaurants along Carrer dels Oms and the port area serve fresh seafood year-round. The Albufera Natural Park, a protected wetland reserve, borders the municipality to the south. Port d’Alcudia marina offers berths and ferry connections to Menorca.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south via the Ma-13 motorway, a journey of around 45 minutes by car. Palma Airport handles direct routes to most major European cities, with flight times of two to three hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. A regular bus service connects Alcudia to Palma and to neighbouring towns including Pollença and Can Picafort throughout the year.
