Ciudad Real Alcazar De San Juan Maison Seigneuriale Exclusive

BARNES Madrid offers this exquisite stately village house of 2832 m² in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha, in Ciudad Real. Located in Alcázar de San Juan and protected by National Heritage, it faithfully represents Manchego stately architecture.

This majestic 19th-century village house has been carefully restored, preserving its classical essence while elevating its status with luxury details and contemporary design.

Its imposing façade, inspired by neoclassical palaces, stands out for the purity of its lines, symmetrical proportions, rich ornamentation, a double order of Ionic pilasters, wrought-iron balconies, and a large wooden door leading to the area originally used for agricultural work. A harmonious dialogue between architectural nobility and functionality.

The interior layout maintains the original floor plan centered around a spectacular Renaissance courtyard, accessible from the elegant entrance hall. This Mediterranean-inspired atrium is surrounded by galleries with columns connecting to the ground floor rooms and leading to the main staircase.

The ground floor of the stately house offers:
- An elegant cinema room
- Bar area and kitchen
- Indoor heated pool
- Suite bedroom
- Guest toilet

The upper floor is organized around a corridor open to the courtyard, covered by a skylight with an electric awning that floods all spaces with natural light. It houses:
- Four en-suite bedrooms
- Living rooms with fireplaces
- Dining room with pantry
- Ironing room
- Terrace with views of the old livestock pens

Each room is designed with noble materials, custom furniture, underfloor heating, automatic blinds, and impressive artisanal carpentry and cabinetry work. The décor blends classical elements with high-end neo-Baroque details, evoking the style of designers like Christopher Guy.

In the former livestock pen area, there is a large central cobblestone courtyard with a wooden coffered porch supported by stone columns. This space, ideal for receptions or events, includes:
- A large social lounge with kitchen and bar equipped with industrial appliances
- Traditional wood-fired oven and old kitchen with fireplace
- Two additional lounges located in the former hayloft
- Outdoor infinity pool with solarium and panoramic views of the surroundings

The property belonged to the Mendoza family, prominent patrons of the Spanish Renaissance, and has been used as a convent and hospital by the Order of Calatrava. It is located in the historic center of Alcázar de San Juan, a quintessential Cervantine town and the heart of La Mancha, just 155 km from Madrid, with excellent transport links and services.

Ideal for a private residence or a high-end rural tourism project.
