Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty was founded in 1980 by Anne Erwin, wife of prominent attorney James Erwin. Shortly after its founding, the company became one of the first to join the newly formed Sotheby’s International Realty network. Anne Erwin Real Estate quickly established itself as the leading agency in the area for marketing distinctive properties, including historic homes, oceanfront, riverfront and water view properties, and luxury country estates.
In 1989, Anne Erwin retired and entrusted ownership to Eileen Roberts, who successfully maintained the tradition of service excellence while growing the company in size and scope. In November 2006, Anne Erwin Real Estate officially became Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty, with a renewed franchise agreement with what has become the world’s most prestigious real estate network, Sotheby’s International Realty.
In April of 2010, Linda Briggs became the proud owner of Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty, following many years with a successful track record at the firm. Her vision aligns with the previous women owners: to specialize in a marketing program that compliments its portfolio of properties while leveraging the global reach of the brand, Sotheby’s International Realty®.
