Vence is a medieval hilltop town in the Alpes-Maritimes, sitting at around 325 metres above sea level between the Var hinterland and the Côte d’Azur coast. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 25 kilometres from Vence, typically a 20 to 25 minute drive via the A8 motorway, providing direct connections to most major European cities and intercontinental routes. The A8 also links to Monaco in around 40 minutes and to Cannes in 30 minutes. For rail travel, the nearest TGV station is Nice-Ville, connecting to Paris in around five and a half hours.
