Vallauris Villa

Vallauris occupies a distinct position on the Côte d’Azur, set inland between Cannes and Antibes at an elevation that affords views across the Lérins Islands and the Esterel massif. The town carries genuine cultural weight as the place where Picasso worked and lived in the early 1950s, a period that shaped its identity as a centre of ceramic art. The residential hillside quarter of Super Cannes, which falls within the Vallauris commune, is one of the most sought-after addresses on the French Riviera.

Daily life here draws on both Cannes and Antibes, each roughly ten minutes by car. The Marché Forville in Cannes and the Marché Provençal in Antibes supply fresh produce daily. The Croisette, the old port of Antibes, and the restaurants of Juan-les-Pins are all within easy reach. Vallauris itself has a weekly market and the Musée National Picasso.

Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 25 kilometres from Vallauris, reachable in around 25 to 30 minutes by car, with direct flights to most major European cities and connections beyond. Cannes train station, served by TGV and regional services, connects to Paris in roughly five and a half hours. Monaco is around 45 minutes by car along the A8 motorway.
