Come on in…
Pass by the white roses that climb the front of the property and enter, closing the door closes off the rest of the world and leaves you in a character-filled safe haven. The hallway gives a lovely welcome, where the stairs rise and ascend to the first floor. There is also a useful WC downstairs.

To the left is a large reception room with space for a sizeable dining table, ideal for hosting dinner parties with friends. A large window, with a pleasant outlook over the lane, fills the room with sunlight. During the colder months, light the log burner for a cosy evening.

Kitchen…
The kitchen is to the right of the hallway, where the east-facing windows bathe the room in the morning sunlight. Cream units are fitted to the room’s perimeter and topped with Corian worktops, providing storage and workspace. There is a double Belfast sink, space for a breakfast table, and integrated appliances, including a dishwasher, fridge freezer and double ovens with a hob above. Limestone tiles adorn the floor to add to the property’s rustic charm.

There is a separate utility room with units for storage and to keep the noisy washing machine out of your kitchen.

First floor…
Climb the turned stairs to the first floor, where you will find the principal bedroom. A light-filled, calming space to rest and relax, with white ceiling beams and built-in wardrobes for storage. Windows overlook the rooftops of Thame.

The Stables has a low-maintenance pergola where you can sit and enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or a late afternoon Aperol Spritz. A grapevine grows across the pergola, offering shelter from the sun.
If needed, there is room to park a small vehicle on the lane, away from the high street.

Out and about…
Thame is a popular market town steeped in historical significance and just a 40-minute train journey from London, making it ideal for those looking to move out of the city, even if you still need to commute to the office.

Thame has a wealth of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, large shops, and supermarkets. Weekends can be spent enjoying brunch, walking along the River or into the nature reserve, or drinking in the riverside beer gardens. You could go out for dinner or drinks in one of the many popular bars in the evening or indulge in a takeaway.
