Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the Bay of Pollença, in a part of the island that has long attracted artists, writers, and discerning international buyers. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times of two to three hours to London, Paris, and Frankfurt. There is no rail connection to the north of the island, so a car is essential for residents. Ferry services from Palma connect to Barcelona, Valencia, and Ibiza.
