Santa Maria del Camí is a small agricultural town in the heart of Mallorca’s central plain, the Raiguer region, sitting between Palma and Inca along the old road that once connected the island’s capital to its northern towns. The town retains a genuinely rural Mallorcan character, with stone-built architecture, working vineyards, and a weekly Sunday market that draws both locals and residents from across the island. The Serra de Tramuntana rises visibly to the northwest, defining the landscape.

The Sunday market at Santa Maria del Camí is one of the most established on the island, known for local produce, antiques, and crafts. The town has several traditional restaurants serving Mallorcan cuisine. Consell and Binissalem, both within a few minutes’ drive, offer additional dining and the island’s main wine-producing estates. Palma’s full range of restaurants, shops, and cultural venues is approximately 20 kilometres away.

Santa Maria del Camí sits directly on the Palma to Inca railway line, with a station in the town centre offering regular services to Palma in under 25 minutes. By car, Palma is approximately 20 minutes via the Ma-13. Palma de Mallorca Airport is roughly 25 to 30 minutes by car and operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections during the summer season.
