Sotogrande Alto is the elevated residential sector of Sotogrande, one of the most established private residential estates in Europe. Developed from the 1960s onward across the hills above the Costa del Sol’s western edge, it occupies a distinct position within the municipality of San Roque in Cádiz province. The upper zone is defined by large plots, mature pine and cork oak vegetation, and a low-density character that sets it apart from the coastal developments to the east.

La Reserva Club anchors daily life here, with its golf course, beach club at La Reserva de Sotogrande, padel courts, and restaurant facilities. The marina at Puerto Sotogrande is a ten-minute drive and offers waterfront dining and provisioning. Sotogrande’s international school, the English-language Sotogrande International School, is within the estate.

Gibraltar International Airport is approximately 20 kilometres away, around 25 minutes by car, and serves direct routes to London, Manchester, and other European cities. Málaga Airport, with its broader international network, is roughly 100 kilometres northeast, under an hour’s drive via the AP-7 motorway. Marbella is 45 minutes by road, and Algeciras port, with ferry connections to Morocco, is 15 minutes south.
