Villa En Sóller

Sóller occupies a broad valley in the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that runs along the northwest coast of Mallorca and carries UNESCO World Heritage status as a cultural landscape. The town has a distinct identity shaped by its relative isolation, its historic trade links with France, and its well-preserved Modernista architecture concentrated around the Plaça de la Constitució. The surrounding groves of orange and lemon trees give the valley a character unlike anywhere else on the island.

Daily life in Sóller centres on the main square, where the Café Central and Bar Molino are established meeting points. The weekly market runs on Saturdays. The port, Port de Sóller, is a ten-minute tram ride away and offers a working waterfront with several reliable fish restaurants. Palma’s larger retail and cultural offer is accessible by car over the Coll de Sóller or through the historic tunnel.

The most direct road connection to Palma is the Ma-11 through the Túnel de Sóller, a journey of approximately 30 minutes by car. The historic narrow-gauge Ferrocarril de Sóller train connects to Palma’s Plaça d’Espanya in around one hour, primarily serving tourists. Palma de Mallorca Airport is roughly 45 minutes by car and operates year-round international routes to most major European cities, with frequency increasing significantly between April and October.
