Santa Eularia des Riu sits on the eastern coast of Ibiza and has a distinct character that sets it apart from the island’s more frenetic resort towns. It is the only river town in the Balearic Islands, built along the Riu de Santa Eularia, and has long attracted a more settled, year-round residential community. The town centre retains a genuine Ibizan identity, with a whitewashed hilltop church, a working marina, and a promenade that functions as a social hub across all seasons.

The marina area offers direct access to restaurants including El Naranjo and Amante, along with the weekly Las Dalias hippie market in nearby San Carlos. The town beach, Playa de Santa Eulalia, is a short walk from the centre. Supermarkets, pharmacies, and schools are all within the town itself, making it one of the most self-contained communities on the island.

Ibiza Airport is approximately 20 kilometres from Santa Eularia, a drive of around 25 minutes via the C-733. Regular bus services connect the town to Ibiza Town, the island’s capital, in roughly 30 minutes. The port of Ibiza Town offers ferry connections to mainland Spain, including Valencia and Barcelona, with journey times ranging from two and a half to eight hours depending on the service.
