An Immense Manor From The 17th Century With Grounds Of Nearly 6,000 M², In A Charming Downtown

Between Mont-Saint-Michel and Combourg, a vast 17th-century manor and its park of nearly 6000 m². Just steps from the village square, where an unusual 18th-century church stands, the property is entirely enclosed by walls. Access to the courtyard is through a gate framed by two tall granite pillars. From there, a gravel path crosses the vast lawns of the park.

The elegant symmetrical facade of the main house reveals itself at first glance. Built in the early 17th century, the Louis XIII-era building has an L-shaped plan, composed of two wings. The manor was mainly constructed with golden granite rubble from Haute-Bretagne. The window frames and corner quoins are made of dressed stone.

Topped with elegant slate hip roofs, adorned with modillion cornices and dormers featuring triangular pediments with scroll decorations on the sides, the whole is crowned with chimney stacks and a finial—a lead ridge ornament shaped like a vase.
