Au XVIIe siècle, le maître de forges veut rendre plus habitable sa demeure et lui adjoint une aile allongée, pourvue d’un toit à la Mansart. Au XVIIIe siècle, on poursuit les aménagements comme en témoigne la date de 1729 figurant au centre d’un porche donnant accès à une cave voûtée. La façade, orientée au sud, est bordée d’une terrasse dominant un étang. On y accède par un escalier à double volée.
