Ramatuelle occupies a singular position on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, a hilltop commune of medieval origin surrounded by protected Var countryside and some of the most sought-after coastline in the Mediterranean. The village itself, with its narrow lanes, stone archways, and centuries-old church, has retained a genuine character that the broader Côte d’Azur has largely lost. The surrounding land falls under strict environmental protections, which keeps density low and ensures the landscape remains one of vineyards, cork oaks, and open hillsides.

Pampelonne beach, divided among a string of well-known beach clubs including Club 55 and Tahiti Beach, is a short drive from the village. The weekly market in Ramatuelle draws serious food buyers. Saint-Tropez itself is roughly ten minutes by car, offering the Place des Lices market, the Sénéquier café on the port, and a concentrated restaurant scene.

The nearest commercial airport is Toulon-Hyères, approximately 70 kilometres west, with seasonal routes across Europe. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, the primary hub for the region, is around 100 kilometres east and connects to major European and international destinations year-round. The A8 motorway is accessible via Sainte-Maxime or Le Muy, placing Cannes within roughly one hour by road and Monaco within 90 minutes.
