Génova is a small, elevated residential quarter on the western outskirts of Palma, sitting roughly 200 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Serra de Tramuntana foothills. The neighbourhood is defined by its pine-covered hillsides, traditional Mallorcan stone architecture, and unobstructed views across the Bay of Palma. It occupies a rare position: close enough to the city to feel connected, yet sufficiently elevated and quiet to feel entirely removed from it.

The neighbourhood has its own established dining scene, centred on a cluster of well-regarded restaurants along Carrer de Barranc, including Ca’n Pedro, a Mallorcan institution known for traditional island cooking. The weekly market in Palma’s Mercat de l’Olivar is a 10-minute drive. The beaches of Cala Major and Illetes are reachable in under 15 minutes by car.

Palma city centre is approximately 5 kilometres from Génova, a drive of around 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic. Palma de Mallorca Airport lies roughly 12 kilometres to the southeast, typically 20 minutes by car. The airport operates direct routes to most major European cities, with flight times of under two and a half hours to London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Barcelona.
