THE PLACE
Playa Destiladeros lies ten minutes from Pedasí, the district capital, between Puerto Escondido and Playa Panamaes on the southern tip of the Azuero Peninsula. Pedasí airport is fifteen minutes away, with daily flights from Panama City in forty minutes; by road, four hours. Humpback whales pass along this coast between June and October, and Isla Iguana is a short boat ride out.

RESIDENCY IN PANAMA
Panama’s Qualified Investor Programme offers a path to permanent residency through a qualifying real-estate investment. Since 16 September 2026 it is governed by Executive Decree 17 of 2026, which sets two minimums according to the property’s history: USD 300,000 for a first-sale property and USD 500,000 on the secondary market.
