Malaga Villa

Estepona occupies a distinct position on the Costa del Sol, sitting between Marbella to the east and Gibraltar to the south, with the Sierra Bermeja mountains rising sharply behind the town. Unlike much of the coast, Estepona has retained a recognisable Andalusian character, with a well-preserved old town of whitewashed streets, flower-lined plazas, and a working fishing port alongside its modern marina. The town is consistently regarded as one of the most liveable municipalities on the western Costa del Sol.

Daily life centres on the Casco Antiguo, the covered Mercado de Abastos, and the seafront promenade. Restaurants such as La Escollera and El Gaviero serve fresh fish directly from the port. The marina offers further dining and leisure. Estepona Golf and several other courses are within a short drive, and Marbella is approximately 30 minutes east along the A-7.

Estepona sits on the AP-7 and A-7 coastal motorways, giving direct road access to Marbella in around 30 minutes and Malaga city in approximately one hour. Malaga Airport, the main international hub for the region, is roughly 85 kilometres east and reachable in under an hour by car. Gibraltar Airport is approximately 45 kilometres to the southwest, offering an alternative gateway with direct connections to the United Kingdom.
