Benahavis occupies a privileged position in the western Costa del Sol, set between the Sierra de las Nieves foothills and the Mediterranean coastline. The municipality has built a reputation as one of the most exclusive residential addresses on the coast, attracting a concentration of high-end gated communities and private estates that few comparable areas in southern Spain can match. Its combination of elevated terrain, protected natural surroundings, and proximity to Marbella gives it a distinct identity within the so-called Golden Triangle.

The village of Benahavis itself is known for its restaurant strip, with El Cortijo de Pepe and Los Abanicos among the established dining options. Puerto Banus marina, with its retail, dining, and beach clubs, is approximately 15 minutes by car. Marbella’s Casco Antiguo and the Golden Mile are within the same radius.

Malaga Airport (AGP) is approximately 50 to 60 minutes by car, offering direct connections to most major European cities and seasonal long-haul routes. The AP-7 motorway provides straightforward access along the coast in both directions. Gibraltar Airport is around 45 minutes west, adding a secondary international option. Marbella has no rail connection, so private or hired transport remains the standard for residents in this area.
