Casa Grasse

Grasse occupies a hillside position in the Alpes-Maritimes pre-Alps, roughly 15 kilometres inland from Cannes, at an elevation that keeps summers noticeably cooler than the coast. The city is internationally recognised as the historic capital of the perfume industry, a status that has shaped its identity for centuries and continues to draw a discerning international community. Its old town, with its medieval lanes, Provençal markets, and cathedral, gives the city a cultural depth that purely coastal addresses rarely offer.

Daily life centres on the Place aux Aires and the covered Marché Provençal, both well-stocked with local produce. The Musée International de la Parfumerie and the historic houses of Fragonard, Molinard, and Galimard are all within the old town. Cannes, with its full range of restaurants, private clinics, and international schools, is approximately 25 minutes by car.

Grasse is served by regular bus connections to Cannes and Nice. The nearest train station with mainline services is Cannes, approximately 25 minutes by car, connecting to Nice in around 30 minutes and to Paris via TGV in roughly five and a half hours. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, the second busiest in France with direct routes across Europe, the Middle East, and North America, is approximately 40 minutes by car under normal traffic conditions.
