Finca Frigiliana

Frigiliana is a whitewashed hill village in the Axarquía region of Málaga province, consistently ranked among the most beautiful villages in Spain. Perched above the Costa del Sol with the Sierra de Almijara rising behind it, the upper barrio retains its Moorish street plan largely intact, a dense network of cobbled lanes, tiered terraces, and ceramic-tiled friezes that document the area’s history. The surrounding countryside is planted with subtropical fruit, avocado, and sugarcane, giving the landscape a distinctly southern character.

The village centre has a weekly market, several well-regarded restaurants including El Jardín and La Taberna del Sacristán, and a local cooperative producing the region’s traditional cane honey. Nerja, with its beaches, Balcón de Europa promenade, and broader range of shops and services, is a ten-minute drive. Málaga city is approximately 55 kilometres west.

Nerja bus services connect Frigiliana to the coast and to Málaga regularly. Málaga María Zambrano station offers high-speed AVE rail connections to Madrid in under two and a half hours and to Seville in under two hours. Málaga Costa del Sol Airport is approximately 55 kilometres from Frigiliana, roughly a 50-minute drive, and operates direct routes to most major European cities year-round.
