Fayence is a medieval hilltop village in the Var department of Provence, sitting at around 350 metres above the Pays de Fayence plain. Its old town, with narrow stone lanes, a Romanesque church, and views stretching toward the Esterel massif and the pre-Alps, has long attracted a discerning international community alongside its permanent Provençal population.
