Le Cannet sits directly above Cannes on the hillside of the Alpes-Maritimes, a residential commune that has maintained a distinct identity despite its proximity to its more famous neighbor. Long favored by artists, including Pierre Bonnard who spent the final decades of his life here, the town combines the calm of a hilltop Provençal village with immediate access to the Côte d’Azur. Its elevated position delivers panoramic views across the Bay of Cannes toward the Lérins Islands.

The old village of Le Cannet, centered on the Rue Saint-Sauveur, offers daily markets, independent bakeries, and the Musée Bonnard. Cannes city center, including the Rue d’Antibes for shopping and the Palais des Festivals, is reachable in under ten minutes by car. The Forville market in Cannes operates six mornings a week.

Cannes train station, approximately three kilometers from Le Cannet, connects to Nice in around 30 minutes and to Marseille in roughly 90 minutes by TGV. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 30 kilometers east, with a drive of 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic.
