Campos is a market town in the flat agricultural plain of southern Mallorca, defined by its working landscape of salt flats, almond groves, and dry-stone walls. The town retains a genuinely Mallorcan character, centred on the 17th-century church of Sant Julià and a compact historic core that has seen relatively little tourist development. It sits at the edge of the Migjorn region, where the island’s interior meets one of its most ecologically protected coastlines.

The weekly Saturday market draws locals from across the municipality. The town has a handful of well-regarded restaurants and traditional cafes along Carrer Nou and the central plaça. Es Trenc beach, one of the few undeveloped stretches of coastline on the island, is approximately 8 kilometres away by car.

Palma is roughly 40 kilometres north via the Ma-19, a drive of around 35 to 40 minutes. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 35 kilometres away, reachable in under 40 minutes. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections from April through October. There is no direct rail link to Campos; all connections to Palma and the wider island rely on road transport.
