Benahavís is one of the most sought-after municipalities on the Costa del Sol, a hillside village set in the foothills of the Serranía de Ronda that has built a reputation as the address of choice for buyers who want privacy, altitude, and proximity to Marbella without the density of the coast. The Monte Mayor area within Benahavís is a low-density enclave of large private estates, characterised by rugged Mediterranean landscape, cork oak woodland, and long-range views across the coastline toward Gibraltar and North Africa.

Benahavís village itself is known for its concentration of restaurants along a single main street, with El Portalón and Los Abanicos among the most established. Puerto Banús is approximately 15 minutes by car, offering supermarkets, boutiques, and beach clubs. Marbella’s Golden Mile and old town are around 20 minutes.
