Sant Josep de sa Talaia is the municipality that covers the entire southwest corner of Ibiza, and it consistently draws the most discerning buyers on the island. Its coastline includes some of the Mediterranean’s most photographed coves, among them Cala Tarida, Cala Conta, and Cala Bassa, while the interior rises through pine-covered hills toward the hilltop church village that gives the municipality its name. The area carries a reputation for understated luxury and a more residential character than the busier northeast of the island.

Daily life here centres on the beach clubs and restaurants along the western coast, including Cala Conta Beach Club and the long-established Es Boldado near Cala d’Hort, with views toward Es Vedrà. The village of Sant Josep itself has a weekly market, a handful of good local restaurants, and a supermarket. Sant Antoni is roughly ten minutes by car for broader retail and services.

Ibiza Airport is located within the Sant Josep municipality and is reachable in under fifteen minutes by car from most parts of the southwest. The airport operates year-round flights to major European cities, with significantly expanded routes from April through October. The port of Ibiza Town, around twenty minutes east, provides regular ferry connections to Formentera, Barcelona, Valencia, and Palma de Mallorca.
