This 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500 represents the final year of production for one of Britain’s most recognizable lightweight sports cars. Finished in bright yellow with a black interior, this Spitfire has the classic low-slung proportions, long hood, and compact two-seat layout that made these cars such enjoyable roadsters. It is equipped with both a black removable factory hardtop and a brand-new black soft top, giving it plenty of versatility for different driving conditions.

Power comes from the 1.5-liter inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and the desirable factory J-type Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive. The overdrive operates in third and fourth gears, reducing engine speed at cruising speeds and making the Spitfire considerably more comfortable on the highway. The car retains its independent rear suspension and front disc brakes, while the heater is functioning properly.

The exterior has been treated to a professional multi-stage paint correction along with a ceramic coating and wax application. The removable factory hardtop has also been freshly painted to complement the car. Updated brighter headlights have been installed while maintaining the traditional appearance of the Spitfire.

Inside, the black cabin has been refreshed with new black upholstery over fresh seat foam and padding. A polished real-walnut dashboard face has been installed while retaining the original instrumentation, and the original dash face is included with the car. An aftermarket sport steering wheel is currently fitted, with the original steering wheel also included.

A modern Bluetooth audio system has been discreetly installed beneath the dashboard, allowing wireless music streaming without significantly altering the classic appearance of the interior. With its bright yellow finish, dual tops, refreshed black interior, manual transmission, and factory overdrive, this final-year Spitfire offers the unmistakable character of a traditional British roadster with several thoughtful updates for modern enjoyment.
